Kitsunegari is inspired by two games I greatly enjoyed: Slay The Spire and Into The Breach.

The concept centers on turn-based stealth. The player progresses through short, handcrafted levels of increasing difficulty - which are procedurally selected to enhance the replay value.

The core challenge lies in analyzing the layout, planning a strategy, and executing it without being detected. Players can also choose to take make risky detours for collecting artifacts that grant powerful modifiers.

I prototyped this concept by building on my previous experience with Dungeon Crawler, Call to Arms, and The Ultimate Race. By reusing and adapting existing systems, I was able to prototype Kitsunegari in just a couple of months.
