The Ultimate Race is a concept blending platformers and races.

The contestant customize their characters with items that provide them with abilities. They then compete in infinite races that are procedurally generated with sections of increasing difficulty.

The contestant the most ahead scrolls the camera to the right, and eliminates any contestants who fall offscreen. The race ends with only one contestant remains. Players then pick rewards based on their rank.

This prototype was a great opportunity to experiment with a package of animated 2D characters that I purchased on the Unity Asset Store. I then reused this package in more complex prototypes: Call To Arms, and True Name.
